Talk to dispatch

One call. A dispatcher, not a form.

(833) 680-0336

What dispatch needs to know about a Los Angeles drop.

Name the neighborhood, not the city

Los Angeles covers enough ground that the nearest yard to Long Beach and the nearest yard to Burbank have nothing to do with each other. The neighborhood is the single most useful thing you can give dispatch on the first call.

Hillside lots and turnarounds

In the canyons and the hills the road is often too narrow for a service truck to turn, and the only stopping point is well below the build. That usually decides where the unit goes. Walk it with dispatch before the delivery rather than after.

Productions plan the pickup too

On a shoot the unit is part of the call sheet, and the strike matters as much as the drop. Give dispatch both dates and the location contact up front and the whole thing stays off your list.

The fire rebuild runs lot by lot

The January 2025 Palisades and Eaton fires destroyed more than 16,000 structures across Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena, and the rebuild will run for years. A cleared burn-zone lot starts with no structure standing, so a unit plus a hand wash station is the whole setup. Tell dispatch if the lots next door are active too.

Santa Ana season

From fall into winter, Santa Ana winds blow hot and dry out of the canyons and passes, hardest in the foothills and below the passes. An empty unit on a cleared hillside lot is the first thing to go over. Anchor anything exposed from October on.

Marathon and parade days close the streets

The LA Marathon runs on a Sunday in March from Dodger Stadium to Century City, through Hollywood and Beverly Hills. On New Year's Day the Rose Parade fills Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, with people camped on the curb the night before. A drop or pickup near either route goes on a different day.

Which areas of Los Angeles do you cover?

Los Angeles County plus Orange and Ventura. That covers Downtown, Hollywood, the Westside and the valley, and out to Long Beach, Torrance, Pasadena, Anaheim and Thousand Oaks. Call with your zip code and dispatch confirms the address.

Can you deliver to a hillside or canyon lot?

Usually, but the turnaround is the constraint, not the distance. Tell dispatch how wide the road is, whether there is anywhere to stop near the build and whether a full-size truck has made it up there before. That determines both the unit and the placement.

Do you deliver to fire rebuild lots in Altadena and the Palisades?

Yes, both burn areas are covered, along with the Malibu side. Tell dispatch the address, whether the lot is cleared, how many trades will be on site and how the truck reaches the pad. On a street where several lots are building at once, say so, because the placement has to leave room for everyone's deliveries.

How many porta potties do I need for an event or a shoot in Los Angeles?

For a single-day event, one unit per 50 guests, plus 10 to 20 percent when alcohol is served. A shoot is closer to a jobsite: count cast and crew for the full day, add a hand wash station near catering, and give dispatch the call time and the wrap so the drop and the strike are planned together.

What does it cost?

Price depends on unit type, rental length and location. A one-day party unit and a monthly jobsite cycle price differently. Call with your zip code and headcount, you get a real quote on the phone, in minutes.

How many units do I need?

Rule of thumb: one unit per 50 guests for a single-day event, one per 25 for a wedding, and about one per 10 workers on a full-week jobsite. Add an ADA unit when anyone on site needs step-free access. Tell dispatch your headcount and we spec it for you.

Where should the unit be placed?

Within about 15 feet of where the service truck can park, on level ground. A fenced backyard is usually the wrong spot: if the truck can't reach the unit on service day, the stop gets skipped. Dispatch walks placement with you before delivery.

Are ADA-accessible units available?

Yes. Wheelchair-accessible units with ground-level entry, interior turning radius and grab bars are available in most areas.
