Talk to dispatch

One call. A dispatcher, not a form.

What dispatch needs to know about a San Antonio drop.

North of Loop 1604 is rock

Caliche and limestone sit close to the surface on the north side, and level ground on a cut lot is not a given. It rarely stops a delivery, but it decides where the unit ends up, so it is worth two sentences on the call.

February rodeo, April Fiesta

The Stock Show and Rodeo takes the Frost Bank Center grounds for about three weeks in February. Fiesta follows in April with eleven days of parades, the Battle of Flowers among them, and NIOSA in La Villita. Event units across the metro get booked for both, so give dispatch those dates early, along with the headcount.

Controlled-access sites need lead time

Joint Base San Antonio alone spreads across Fort Sam Houston, Lackland and Randolph, and plenty of private work also sits behind a gate that needs an escort or a badge arranged in advance. That is the thing that most often turns a delivery into a second trip. Tell dispatch who to call at the gate.

Flash Flood Alley

San Antonio sits at the edge of the Hill Country in what the river authority calls Flash Flood Alley, and Bexar County has around 150 low-water crossings that close in heavy rain. One storm can cut the usual route to a site. If yours sits past a crossing, tell dispatch the other way in.

The far west side keeps building

Alamo Ranch and the far west side off Loop 1604 have led the city in new housing for years, and the I-35 corridor toward Schertz, Cibolo and New Braunfels is close behind. New subdivisions mean streets a map may not know yet, so give the subdivision name and the builder's site contact.

Shade beats a bigger unit

Summer highs in the mid to upper 90s are normal here from June into September, and a unit in full sun on a bare pad gets avoided by the crew. Set it on the shaded side of a trailer or a structure and put a hand wash station next to it.

Site up off 1604, solid rock. They set the units where the truck could actually reach them, not where I guessed.

Four units for a quinceanera in Schertz. Clean and on the day we agreed.

Anything else, call (833) 680-0336 and ask a dispatcher.

Which areas of San Antonio do you cover?

Bexar County plus Comal and Guadalupe: downtown and the inner neighborhoods, Stone Oak and the north side, Helotes and Boerne to the west, and Schertz, Cibolo, Converse and New Braunfels to the northeast. Call with your zip code to confirm.

Can you deliver to a gated or controlled-access site?

Yes, as long as we know before the truck rolls. Give dispatch the gate contact, the hours the site is open and whether the driver needs an escort. That one detail is the difference between a delivery and a return trip.

How many porta potties do I need for a Fiesta-season event?

Use one unit per 50 guests for a single-day event as the base and add 10 to 20 percent when alcohol is served, which at a Fiesta party it usually is. An April afternoon can already be hot here, so add a hand wash station and tell dispatch the headcount and the hours.

Do you deliver to Alamo Ranch and the far west side?

Yes. Alamo Ranch, Westover Hills and the subdivisions out along Loop 1604 and Highway 151 are covered, along with Helotes to the north. Call with the subdivision name and the nearest cross street to confirm.

What does it cost?

Price depends on unit type, rental length and location. A one-day party unit and a monthly jobsite cycle price differently. Call with your zip code and headcount, you get a real quote on the phone, in minutes.

How many units do I need?

Rule of thumb: one unit per 50 guests for a single-day event, one per 25 for a wedding, and about one per 10 workers on a full-week jobsite. Add an ADA unit when anyone on site needs step-free access. Tell dispatch your headcount and we spec it for you.

Where should the unit be placed?

Within about 15 feet of where the service truck can park, on level ground. A fenced backyard is usually the wrong spot: if the truck can't reach the unit on service day, the stop gets skipped. Dispatch walks placement with you before delivery.

Are ADA-accessible units available?

Yes. Wheelchair-accessible units with ground-level entry, interior turning radius and grab bars are available in most areas.
